Curator Statement:
"It's been a strange time in our world; the ways we've been living are being questioned and challenged. As the world continues to grind forward, artists continue to make work that speaks about our current times, exploring new ways to embrace these new truths and mores.
With this experimental video workshop, we are testing the limits of what it means to produce a cohesive work from start to finish in a compressed time frame. Using Gardenship at Kearny Point as a source of inspiration, we are giving artists time and space to create something they have been dreaming about or creating in the moment, a work that fits into their art practice or something completely sideway. Concepts come into fruition as ideas are shot over the course of the week and through collaborations with others, the videos will be edited and elements of sound added to create a finished piece.
Come join us IRL at a Drive-In Screening of the final videos created in the week. Be prepared for something unexpected & strange but also inspiring & moving."
