Daniel Augusto Ferreira Breda is a Portuguese-American artist who seeks to capture authentic, unfiltered, raw moments of the human experience and our environment - both in darkness and light, drawing from a diverse background from an early childhood with limited means in a small traditional Portuguese town to the urban environments of Newark and New York City (where he studied at Newark’s Arts High School and SVA) and the quiet isolation of the French countryside. Daniel’s work often features historical cultural references, allusions to Greek mythology and religious symbols.
