We are reaching out with a difficult announcement. After 5 inspiring years in Building 44C—a space we have known, loved, and cherished — Gardenship will be closing the doors on our space at @KearnyPoint.

In full transparency, we received notice to exit a couple of months ago. While we immediately shared this news with our current studio residents, we chose to delay sharing it with the broader Gardenship community. We hoped to pair this announcement with the exciting news of a new space and chapter. While we diligently worked to make that happen, we’ve also been busy packing up and closing down our cherished space.

The good news is that we have found a new cultural partner and will be moving to downtown Montclair with most of our programming intact. We are stepping forward with enthusiasm toward expanding our offerings—not only with studio and foundry programming but with a renewed focus on community engagement and service. We are excited about this next step and look forward to opening our doors wider to the local and regional creative community while broadening our support for individual artists and their projects.

Before we get back to packing and planning, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has helped create and shape Gardenship into what it is today. Without your generosity, love, and support, none of our accomplishments would have been possible.

All of this has been happening quickly, and while the details are still being ironed out, they will be shared with you soon. So, stay tuned and keep some space on your dance card—we will be back out on the floor very soon, and we can’t wait to see you there!
